Calendar and To-Do Personal Assistant
A mobile-first personal dashboard for tasks, Google Calendar, goals, and a 7 AM push briefing.
working
Summary
A single-user web app I use from my phone's home screen every day. It combines a to-do list with overdue rollover and recurring tasks, a two-way Google Calendar with drag-to-reschedule, a goals and projects tracker with an XP and leveling system, and a Today tab that pulls them together. A scheduled job sends a morning briefing push notification at 7 AM and regenerates recurring tasks at midnight.
Problem
My tasks, calendar, and goals lived in separate apps, so planning a day meant checking four places. I wanted one screen that tells me what matters today, plus a push in the morning before I open anything.
AI Usage
Built end to end with Claude Code: I wrote the product spec, had the model plan a modular architecture before writing code, and reviewed each feature as it landed. The app itself makes no model calls. Everything it does is deterministic code, database rules, and scheduled jobs.
- Two-way Google Calendar sync with drag-to-reschedule, recurring events, and Meet links.
- Row-level security on every table, so each row is scoped to its owner at the database.
- XP is an append-only ledger awarded by database triggers, not a running total that can drift.
- Hourly scheduler that respects my timezone: recurring tasks at midnight, a push briefing at 7 AM.
- Feature-sliced architecture, written into the spec up front so new features don't require rewrites.
